Hotel Devin Pec pod Snezkou - 3 Star Hotel

This traditional hotel Děvín in Pec was completely reconstructed – which means in fact a new building starting from ground floor has appeared here. However, with respect to the location in the heart of the Krkonoše National Park its authentic look of a typical wooden mountain hut in Krkonoše has been saved. The original hut was already built in the year 1930. (see more information in Hotel history section). Nowadays the hotel Děvín fully corresponds with present needs of luxurious accomodation of a three-star cathegory as well as strict hygienic and safety standards of the EU. Each room has now its own sanitary facility and is equipped with new tailored furniture as well as multimedial connection. The whole area of our hotel is nonsmoking. On the ground floor there is an all-day open restaurant with an incomparable view of Pec pod Sněžkou in the valley below and the Krkonoše slopes as far as Černá hora (Black Mount) as well. If there are suitable weather conditions an attended terrace restaurant open all year long is available.

In summer time we have for our guest to use for free outside 9m long swimming pool with area for sunbathing, which is about 100m far from hotel. The stay in our hotel binds together the pleasure of being in quiet surrounded by hills over 900 metres amidst beautiful mountain nature (the hotel lies just below the edge of the forest) with the advantage of easy access to the centre of Pec (5 minutes along the all-year-long maintained local road). The access to the hotel is not limited by ban of traffic which starts just by the hotel further towards the ridge. There are reserved free parking places in front of the hotel for our hotel guests.

The mountain hotel Děvín is also a suitable tourist starting point both for hiking or cross country skiing to the ridge of the East Krkonoše – the main path up to the Výrovka hut and the Luční bouda hut starts just here. There is another new and less demanding path around Pec. Zelený, Modrý and Obří důl (Green, Blue and Giant Pit) as well as the bottom station of a chair lift going to Sněžka (the highest mount of Czech Republic – 1602 metres above the sea level) are well accessible, too. There is also a training slope with a ski lift for beginning skiers 300 metres from the hotel whereas the main ski centre in Pec is about 1 km far away and is easily accessible on skis using a lift which gets you there just from the hotel (see more information in Sport activities section).

For those who prefer downhill or cross country skiing and snowboarding as well Pec offers excellent tracks. There is sufficient amount of well trimmed cross country tracks as well as downhill slopes, snowpark, ten ski lifts and a four-chair lift. Total length of ski runs is 7500 metres and transport capacity of all the lifts is 8750 skiers per hour. All pistas of differnt difficulty are perfectly trimmed every evening by modern snow trucks and snowblowers. The ski centre in Pec offers a wide range of ski passes usable within the whole area. You can also choose night skiing which can be a great experience (see pictures in Photogallery section).

By ski bus you can get to the other centres in the neighbourhood, primarily to Černá hora (Black Mount) centre in Janské Lázně. There are 2 funiculars, 12 ski lifts and 11 km pistas in total, in a needful case with technical snow. The capacity of all the lifts is 10 230 persons per hour. The centres in Pec pod Sněžkou and Janské Lázně have a mutual ski pass (with Guest Card you can get 10% discount for ski pass).
